Company profile

The company TAST Transito Srl has been founded in 1976. The pre-existingTast International with legal office in Milan in that year divided their different activities and founded separated companies, namely:

• TAST International with legal office in Milan : furthermore operating truck transport of goods, focus northwest Italy
• TAST Trasporti Atesini with legal office in Bolzano : truck transport of goods, focus northeast Italy
• TAST Cavalli with legal office in Milan : transport of horses; breeding and racing formalities
• TAST Transito Srl with legal office in Campo di Trens/Vipiteno: customs clearances and formalities

Over the years we expanded our activities and in addition to our main office in Vipiteno we opened offices also in Fortezza (rail traffic), S. Candito and Ortisei.
The realization of the EU internal market in 1993 of course had serious consequences for us and all companies in this sector. The abolition of customs formalities in the European internal trade deprived us suddenly of almost all our work base. We were forced to close our further agencies and only our main office in Vipiteno, personally, though greatly reduced, could be kept . The eastward enlargement of the internal market (the Baltic countries, Poland, etc.) in 2004 was another severe blow. From his time 27 operating customs agencies here in the truck stop are currently only 3 left!
Internal market, new international control and management systems through greater integration of computing and IT-technologies were and are big challenges that we managed to overcome thanks to our professionalism, high standards of quality and specialization.
